Puzzle Table is a coffee table with a puzzle feature. The coffee table is constructed of poplar and steel and puzzle pieces are 3D modeled forms featuring fingers pointing different directions; cnc machined in various hardwoods and cast in aluminum, bronze, and cement. The puzzle has multiple correct combinations and options of games to play, such as sliding tile, pattern making, or connect the fingers.
Inspired by puzzles from Majenta’s childhood that had square tiles with monkey tails or palm trees hanging off the edges, this coffee table seeks to bring curiosity, collaboration, and conversation back into a communal setting that is more and more often losing these opportunities to digital screens.
